Why do I need an inspection / survey?
Fire doors are one of the most important elements in giving occupants time to escape safely, but they are also one of the most neglected in terms of inspection and maintenance.
Fire doors are generally in constant use and are therefore subject to more abuse, damage and wear and tear than most fire safety devices, such as extinguishers, and they are more prone to failure.
Getting a fire inspection and survey is necessary to ensure that your fire doors are suitable and perform their intended purpose. However, the performance of an installed fire door can vary based on a number of factors. This includes the door, frame, smoke seals, hardware and others. As such, inspection and survey should be done by a field specialist.
With over 20 years of experience, our engineers are highly trained to carry out these surveys. All of our findings are honest and transparent. We will not try and convince you that something is wrong with your fire doors if we believe it meets current regulations following our inspection.
